Louise Gaffney-Farrell

Hi my name is Louise and I first became interested in Script Supervision when my school drama teacher allowed me to sit in on the set of his film that he just happened to be shooting at my secondary school. I was instantly drawn to the Script Supervisor who was interacting with the Director and Actors and was intrigued by what she was doing and how she was connecting with what seemed to be the whole cast and crew!

On leaving school I now knew what direction I wanted my career to go in and applied to Mersey TV in Liverpool who then ran a PA/Continuity course which fortunately I was accepted onto. On my return home I got an amazing opportunity to meet and train under the fabulous Pat Rambaut whom I trained under until 1996, then went onto to work my way up through shorts/low budget features and spent some time with Directors in the edit suite learning the edit and mostly the importance of script beats, performance and story telling.

I have been very fortunate in my career to date to work with a lot of amazing Directors, Actors and Crews. Every job is different, all bringing new and exciting challenges, meeting new people, learning new things about the industry and myself throughout.
